im running the current version of snitz on my base network (us navy), im having a problem. im using nt verification..

it logs me in fine as an admin, but whenever i log in on a non-admin account i get this error
"Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'
Operation must use an updateable query.
/dashboardfolder/data/n3/web/forum/register.asp, line 569"

line 569 is "my_Conn.Execute (strSql),,adCmdText + adExecuteNoRecords"

i have read through all the posts that were similar, and have tried all those methods, nothing helped. i also updated everything with the new bug fixes.. still nothing.

any ideas? ps.. i really like the the nt authoring..

this is the most common problem. it is addressed in the readme as well as several posts on this forum. try doing a search.

it is a permissions issue. your database is not set with read/write access for your NT users.

You're welcome. I'm still confused as to why searching for "Operation must use an updateable query." didn't provide you any help. Most all of those posts say that it is a permissions issue.

This topic actually helped me too because I wouldn't have known to search for "Operation must use an updateable query".
My Browser is returning "Die Seite kann nicht angezeigt werden" as it's a german server..

So this post was not in vain, thanks
