ive been doin searches and tryin to find the answer but i cant..

im looking for a anonymous user mod for the newest version that will let the user put in any username (without password) that will let them post.. instead of having all the anonymous users showing up as anonymous or guest..

is there anything out there?

I'm not familiar with that MOD, so I assumed it allowed guests to enter a name of their own. I know it's possible (I've done it for one of my sites), but it'll take quite some work.
The basic idea:
- register a member that will act as "guest"
- remove access to the guest's profile and remove all links to the guest's profile in posts and on all pages where it could be shown
- remove the options to contact the guest
- add a field in some of the database tables to store the guest's name
- change post.asp and post_info.asp so they use the guest account if the post author isn't logged in and didn't enter a username and password, and so the guest's name gets put in the database
- show the guest's custom name with the posts and on pages where otherwise the guest's username would be shown

As I said, it's a lot of work. Requesting this is a MOD in the MOD W/O Code forum is probably your best bet if you don't want to use that other MOD and can't make the necessary changes yourself.
