Hi,

We have been using the forum for some time and we have recently converted it to an NT authentication forum when I upgraded the servers to Win2K.

Our problem is a new group have joined the company and now they do not authenticate to us using NT domain login they are using a different system.
They do have NT domain accounts, but these are only used for e-mail.

We are not too worried about forum security. Is there any way of passing the forum the users name without logging into NT and still maintain our existing NT authentication.

Apprieciate any work arounds or ideas

Andy

I don't think so. I think it's one or the other.

I suggest what you do instead is create a generic AD account for those users. Then modify the code so that if the generic account is using the forum, that they must enter their name in the post somehow. There would be other tweaks you would have to make like not allowing the generic account to be able to change their profile or password or to subscribe to topics etc.
