1. Not much you can do without resizing the image using a component to do it or using some other code. You might want to do a search on image resizing to see if there are solutions to this.

2. Not sure what you are asking. Are you wanting to completely disable the category collapse function?

One extremely quick way to do it would be to change the two icons used by the collapase category with transparent ones so that people simply won't know the + and - are there, this doesn't stop categories being collapased if people know where to click of course.

In v3.4.03 file default.asp near lines 474-478, find the following lines and comment them out putting a ' (single quote) at the start of the line:

'if Request.Cookies(HideForumCat) = "Y" then
'	Response.Write	"<a href=""" & ScriptName & "?" & HideForumCat & "=N"">" & getCurrentIcon(strIconPlus,"Expand This Category","") & "</a>"
'else
'	Response.Write	"<a href=""" & ScriptName & "?" & HideForumCat & "=Y"">" & getCurrentIcon(strIconMinus,"Collapse This Category","") & "</a>"
'end if

Hide/Unhide related code will be there, but because there are no icons to click on they will never be executed.
