When you install it - is it an option or does it do it all the time automatically. |

You will get new button on the format toolbar on post.asp which looks like this: When you click that icon, a new window pops up hilighting misspelled words.
BTW: I have this mod installed on my forum. It works well, but the dictionary is lacking some important things, like holidays, days of the week, countries, etc. I add words to my dictionary database as I find them. If you come up with a better dictionary db to use, please let me know. |

Someone had worked on one that would give a list of suggestions .. can't remember who right now .. you might want to search the archives to see if you can figure out who it was and if they finished it. |

reducks87,
This is a pretty easy mistake to fix, you need to define the path to the database of words that is checks against. Here is the error from your site:
Check Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'
'\\genfs4\www34\db\dictionary2000.mdb' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides.

As for it's usefulness, it's better than nothing.
This tool though may be the best solution to all Internet form entry spell checking: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=45303&SearchTerms=,ieSpell |
