I have lately upgraded my forum from 3.3.05 to 3.4.03 succesfully -I did add the POLL MOD to my site and it all seems to work ok - the poll configuration is integrated in the admin section BUT there is ONE problem:
There is NO icon for "ADD POLLS" in the forum topics - you can therefore not add any polls (to see it you can use username: "snitz" and password "snitz")
and I HAVE activated "show polls" and "POLLS" as on in the polls congiguration in the admin section. CAN SOMEBODY HELP PLEASE? I have spent alot of time finding out what the problem could be but unsuccesful - I am willing to give you an administrator log in and code if you need that to help me.

You have said that in the admin options you have poll enabled.
Ifso go to the forum where you want to allow polls.
Edit the forum properties.
You can then select in the drop down menu called Polls Permission: if you want to allow polls. You can choose Don't Allow Polls this is i think the problem that you now have.
But you can choose if you polls for Allow All Members or Allow Only Admins/Moderators. If you choose one of these 2 options you can create a poll in that forum.
Do you or anybody know how to integrate an internal email system in the forum like the one in the old version 3.305??? (or is it already implemented in ver. 3.4.03??)

I have configured it with a External SMTP server from my ISP and it is working.
