OK, this is the first time I have played with a forum on a Web Server from the Admin side. I am not an IIS expert. (No kidding, huh? Read on..) While I was testing the NT Authentication, so users on my intranet don't have to log in each time, I set something that locked me out. (Doh..!) Since I am locked out, I can not tell you the exact setting but I think it was the 3rd option down on the Admin Options screen. Any help would be appericiated. Below is the error I am recieving.
error '800401e4' Invalid syntax
/forum/inc_functions.asp, line 1238

I think you changed the cookie setting.
instead of trying to access the forum, open admin_home.asp, this should give you the admin login without the cookie problem

This is the GetObject call in NTAuthenticate()
jowen's obviously has strNTgroups set, I don't
Havn't had time to look further, but any ideas would be appreciated.
(Just a thought, could it be the script engine is an old version ?)

Apparently you have to have an ADS component installed and its not done automatically unless its a NT2000 system. (ADS Automation Directory Services ?)

You have either turned on "Use NT AutoLogon" or "Use NT Groups" in the "Feature NT Configuration" section of the admin page. You must have ADSI (Active Directory Service Interfaces) installed on the server if you are using NT for this to work. You can download the install here:
http://www.microsoft.com/NTWorkstation/downloads/Other/ADSI25.asp
After installing this update, it should get rid of your error. |
