is not in my forum folder on my computer but is on my website - have i done something wrong - should i download the forum folder to make it right on my computer?

you could just download the file that is missing, unless you want to download all of the files. It's up to you.

thx! i figure if i am missing one there probably is more - would like to know how it got on the website and is not in my folder on my computer. Figure i would have to upload it from my folder.

I think that file is part of the private messages MOD, so perhaps you didn't fully update your local copy when you applied that mod ?
