I am trying to think up some cool image work, but I have not come up with anything yet. The forum software is really cool! I may want to add some mods, but I haven't thought of that either.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I am new to the forum scene. Even if you don't like it, I can take the criticism.

Well first, look around the web for some websites that are really appealing to you. Choose a theme and set up a color scheme, not only for the forums but for the entire site. Maybe pick up a book and learn some of the code and start playing around with the entire design of the book.
Since it's a horse website, one idea would be a stable/barn theme, but think about what you'd like it to be. To look at some good forums, check out the snitz hall of fame here: http://forum.snitz.com/halloffame.asp
