Hmmm... at first sight looks like the files are ok. Can you have a look at your cookie and see if the password is being stored encrypted or not?

not sure how to check for that? Opening a cookie in .txt didn't do the trick!

It should do it. That's how I do it. What did you get when you did it?

Only a part of it is strange characters? If that is the case it probably is ok, since the password is encrypted. I truly find this quite weird, since your files seem to be ok and the password seems to be being stored in the cookies.
What I would do is add some response.writes in inc_top.asp to see if the password is being correctly read from the cookie. I don't know or understand what is happening, so the reason for the logouts needs to be found.

In Admin Options -> Main Forum Config. Try setting them to website.

ok, It tried that, but I still get logged out of the mobile forums. If I go to the full forums, I'm still logged in though...odd!

I apologize if I look ignorant, but are you using the same browser in both cases?

You're certainly less ignorant than I am ;-) but yet I'm using the same browser.
Looks like adapting this mobile version is going to be too problematic. Hopefully the current structure can be kept, with the actual topics going to http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/pda.asp?TOPIC_ID=1946 but that would need a login box, help!

Ok, and the URL for the GPS version, is it correctly specified in Admin Options?

Yeah, I meant mobile version, not GPS. Don't know what I was thinking...

Actually I can't access the admin page of the mobile forum with these login problems...

HuwR Do you still think you can tack n a quick response and a userid/pwd field to the topic view I sent you the code for: http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/pda.asp?TOPIC_ID=1963
It's probably the best bet at this time as adapting the mobile version based on 3.3 looks like too much of a headache :-(
