I had one of my moderators try and change their email address in their profile but the forum said that the email address was already in use. I checked the forum_members table and couldn't find anything remotely close to the address.
I tried to change his address myself by editing the profile and I got the same problem. When I used a different address, it worked fine.
Has anyone got any ideas on why the forum would not have accepted that first email address? I can almost guarantee that the address has never before been seen by the forums. The address is fairly new.
Did you check both email addy fields? I dont have access to the tables atm to check the name of the feild, but if someone requests to change their address and then never comfirms off the email then that address stays waiting for the confirmation for so long, and if that email addy is in either the old password feild or the new, not yet approved field, you will get that error, the second password field is in the same table you were in, all the way at the end, like second to last I beleive.
