Is there a lite version of topics.asp forums.asp and default.asp?
Several users have asked for a less intense version, scaled down information, a lot less icons etc etc. These are the people who are making the transition from usenet, and web based forums are just too unwieldly for them.
If not, I'd be willing to assist in the development of such a set of pages. |
And the hit's just keep on comin' |

Yeah, basically the icons, avs, star ranking etc. I thought of using a dropdown box for some of the options like show profile edit/delete reply, email poster and reply with quote etc
Basically the request I had was for something similar to Google's newsgroup layout. At the end of the day, if it uses less processor power and less kb then people that do use it will have a faster experience and I will save bandwidth.
My forums have been modded but I'd start on the untouched versions of the pages first and all I'd really need to add in to topics would be the Poll mod.
Also, I want to create a forum that is only visible to new memebrs - less than 250 posts or a memeber for less than 6 months. |

avs, I presume you mean avatars ? These are not part of a standard Snitz install star ranking can be turned off in admin options
This is not a newsgroup, it is a forum, the two are different things, do not confuse them together.
If you want a 'lite' forum, don't install any Mods. |
