Oh... I guess a little more background would be helpfull... this came about becaus PHP doesn't seem to allow for unsigned variables, which for some reason makes SHA256 encryption very difficult (beyond me and anyone that I've asked about it at the leaste) so the alternative is this, to simply make the forums use the MD5 standard instead of the SHA256 standard. This way PHP apps can pull in forum authentication types... makes sence if you need to access forum database info from PHP :)
