Just finished a new iteration of the Birmingham Restaurants website that employs Snitz. Runs Chilisoft/MySql (and the BindParameter thing seems to have sneaked into the latest Snitz although I found a fix on these pages - thanks all). The Snitz code is not modded/tweaked that much (avatars/calendar/poll being the main changes) though others may be interested in the front page customisation instigated on the site; you need to be registered to use it but in essence you can alter what elements go where on the front page via a Mybp link. Coming onstream in the vein will be a css file selector but as the current default one is not quite how we'd like it at present we'll leave that a while. Anyway, feedback, as ever, would be much appreciated. http://www.birminghamplus.com |

Very Nice Forums! I like the colours. I don't like the way you've put Event Calender, but its upto you because its your site! Some Suggestions: -Get some XP icons from www.frutzle.com/snitz -Only 55 of 658 Members have posted in the forums, so email others and try to get them! -Put some description in the forums you haven't put in.
Thats all, you've done a nice job though!

Thanks to both wizards2k and Faizan for the feedback. Yep, like those new icons, have some of that. Events Calendar - thought I'd used it more or less as is allowing for integrating with the site but I'll scout around and see who else is doing what 55 out of 658 members - more posters would be good but bear in mind that many people sign up to post restaurant reviews rather than being habitues of places like this Descriptions - a getroundtoitjob (for the last year!)
One other point of note for the general benefit of all. I'm quite pleased with the site stats via http://www.infosoftglobal.com/FusionCharts/. To see them on the site just click the homepage link giving site stats for the year to date - once in the month view click on a column to get a day view Its a paid for service (I'm still on the evaluation period and am not on commission but I think we'll go with it) and a no-cost option is to use the flash charting component but for simple folk like me seeing those little bars rise out of the ground is a bit warm and fuzzy. |

Windows XP Pro Internet Explorer version: 6.0.2800.11063xpclnt_qfe.0108287-1803IC
Although it's now working, I probably caught you when you were editing some pages. A few comments, I would like it better if the events calendar was at the bottom of the page. I think it would look much cleaner. The colors are good, they feel passive in a way and uhmm I also think that maybe centering the content on the page would look better, I don't like how it's all left aligned. Just my opinion though. |

weeweeslap, (i'm having real problems with that name!) You're dead right about the calendar being at the bottom. The left-aligned thing is because I harbour delusions of converting the whole thing to style sheets and would like to make use of absolute positioning. Just a quickie, what prog do you need to use those downloaded roller coasters - I'm clearly not in the loop figuratively or literally on that one? Sorry I've found the info, just being dense. |

Hi oedipus, You need www.nolimitscoaster.com to ride the Nolimits(NL) one (the one that is used more) there's also www.wounded-heart.com (Scream Machines Game)(SM) which is the 2nd most popular as well. Those are the ones I recommend as there is a wider user range. They are somewhat "cad" based. Real fun and time consuming if you really get into it. NL costs $25, I think, and so does SM. They're purchaseable online through those websites and you usually get your download link within 5 minutes, depending on what payment system you use. I should probably make a note of that on my website If you're having problems with 'weeweeslap' just call me wws Any more info you need feel free to ask. |
