Wonder what percentage were bought to be sold on?
Bah, i'd have loved to have seen REM and Radiohead on the same bill.
Usually go to the V festival but might give it a miss this year as the lineup doesn't exactly float my boat.
Huw, i'm very jealous. Fancy selling your ticket? |

Quite a few I would imagine, but if they try to sell them on places like ebay for more than the face value, they will be invalidated by Glastonbury Organisers, they ar having a big clamp down this year, so anyone who did may find it very difficult to get rid of the tickets.

Good move on their part, though an almost impossible task. Where there's tickets, there's touts.

Oh well, guess i'll just have to invest in an extra-bouncy pogo stick to jump over the wall... or watch it on the Beeb. |

With the size of the wall these days you'll need a jet pack |

A rope ladder made from parts gained at Great Mills sufficed last year, (we did try for tickets) I'm sure such a device can be made this time around.
Whilst we were going to the DIY store in the area, it was like 'yeah, you wouldn't guess how many have been for that, but there has only been a few buying what you guys have asked for'
LOL, thanks to URBAN75 and Jolly Roger.

I hope they solve the problems outside of the festival this year. I lived in Glastonbury for a few years until Feb this year. Last year, the new wall was so successful that all the gangs who organise holes and climbing points in and over the fence, couldn't get in, which meant that they roamed around looking for other ways to busy themselves. There was a significant increase in crime in Pilton and people were even being frogmarched from thier cars and robbed of their tickets before getting in.
The town itself benefits from the festival as hoards of people make their way in from all over the world.
If you want some tips on avoiding the traffic jams, I can tell you were the shortcuts are |

So do I, but they have had to pay for a lot more police this time, so hopefully it will be better. I normally do a full stint from wednesday to tuesday, it is much less hassle than trying to brave the traffic |

Yeah, and you get to choose where you want the tent
This years lineup doesn't really look too hot to me, but its a great experience, I usually go with a crowd of about 10 friends.
Got something in the freezer from october time to take along?
There is another great festival which is held close to my hometown, the V festival at Leeds, temple newsham. Have you been to that one Huw?

I went to the first one, but have not been since, I am just a confirmed Glastonburyite, I have only missed one since 1980 (fortunately it was the last mud fest but my second or third was a mud bath, 6 inches of prime sloppy mud, it was fun, sort off.
It is basically or meeting point for all the dregs from college and school, we normally manage to meet up at somepoint over the weekend. Plus I have freinds who perform in the circus/cabaret fields and even a couple who will be playing on the main stage on sunday |
