Oh my goodness. This was the stupidest April Fools holiday ever in the history of the universe. Everyone's lame "pranks" were boring and predictable. I hate to even call them pranks because of the poor attempt at "fooling" me.

"I won the lottery! $7 million! Just kidding."

"I'm leaving and never coming back... ha ha. Fooled ya!"

I admit, early this morning I was duped by an email. In my defense, it was early and occurred during the pre-coffee, non-coherent phase of my work day. That email tipped me off to every other poor excuse for a joke... which were not hard to spot, I might add. I pretty much saw and heard the same thing all day long. I almost wanted to say, "Not funny. Come up with an original idea." In their defense, Hollywood can't even come up with an original idea so why should they.

I was glad to reflect back on this day and realize that my daily Snitz experience was April Fools Day-free. Perhaps Huw installed a special anti-moron-post software or ran a stupidity test on all of the posts. No, wait, I saw some slip through. Anyway, thank you, Snitzers, for not subjecting us to eye-rolling, pre-pubescent pseudo-pranks.

Participate in my nonsense

Dang, I actually wanted one of those Shrinters.

The Shrinter is an old joke though, the original Shrinter was released on April 1st 1984. (Before I was even born! )

There goes my project to clone the Sports Illustrated swimsuit models...

Actually, it didn't even register for me. I'm nearly twelve hours ahead of the US East Coast so reading all of the April Fool's stuff on April 2nd was bizarre.

No USB George Foreman Grill, huh? Too bad...

The poor head of security at one of the banks data centres I work at got done from his head office and we thought that it was great.

They told him that all senior offices were required to and he was to go to Iraq for a 6 week tour to look after POW's as his company had landed the contract, and he was to take a week off on full pay to get things in order before going on the 20th of April and if he had any problems with it to call head office. So guess who called head office!!! Yep he did and as he was talking to his boss, the others yelled out "April Fools" and his boss said "there is one born every second".

It was funny, although the security officer threatend to get me and the others for getting him big time.. Some people just can not take a joke... *LOL*

Cheers,

I doubt he found it nearly as "funny" as the rest of you.
