Does the .htaccess file syntax work in IIS? I need to block access to certain parts of the site based on IP address but do not have access to the management console etc. My host will not do it for me.

Sorry not entirely Snitz related - could not see which section to ask it in, feel free to move.

no you would need to run the IIS lockdown utility from MS, however that would require access to the server.
