Hi,
i have a forum version 3.4.03. it's english now. i want to translate it to Turkish language. i read forum, i can use Turkish with Version 4 Beta. i try to upgrade Version 4 Beta with latest updates. but i couldn't.
1. anybody has translated Turkish language version 3.4.03?
in Turkish : elinde Türkçeleştirilimiş Snitz 3.4.03 olan var mı?
2. Somebody says you should downgrade your DB for upgrade V4. is it possible? do you recommend this?
3. it is enough to translate only main screen and message screen. it is not possible 1-2, how can i translate this strings?
in Turkish : eğer 1-2. maddeler olmaz ise bana sadece ana ekran ile mesaj ekranını Türkçeleştirmek yeterli. Bunu nasıl yapabilirim.

Don`t know, if there is a Turkish translation of V3.4
I have never haerd of one. As a matter of fact, it would be a downgrade, since the current V4B code is based on V3.3.03 (don`t think anybody has done the downgrade either)
What strings you translate, depends on how much you want to have in another language. The main pages would be default.asp, forum.asp, topic.asp, inc_header.asp and inc_footer.asp< |

1. There can be some. Check the topic "Workgroup: Turkish" and visit the websites of people who posted there, if the addresses are available. It can be that they are willing to share their work with you...
2. Forget about it, it can cause lots of problems.
3. Rasco's answer is correct if you find that sufficient, anyway you may continue the translation afterwards. You will need to put the usual meta tag for Turkish charset as always. Search for "<HEAD>" statements in the code... But beware, there are problematic areas like statistics part and subscriptions related part that cannot be translated direcly without code changes. You may like to turn these features off if you are incapable of changing the code...

i understand your messages 2 and 3 is not good for me.
Bülent : i couldn't find any Turkish version. one guy says i translated but there is no info (e-mail, web page etc.) do you know anyone translate this? i search google.com also.

If they don't give their addresses, I'm afraid I cannot be helpful, although some of them contacted me personally and given the addresses (and contacted again and again and again).
This is why I removed my contact info from my profile and locked the workgroup topic.
I hope they will see this and contact you from this topic or from your e-mail in your profile...

i know exactly what you mean :(
i couldn't find anything. i know Snitz 4 Beta 4 based on version 3.4, right? if it is ready for testing, i can test it and i can help you translating Turkish :) this is good for me because i have some non-Turkish members too. so they use in English.

ne demek istediğini çok iyi anlıyorum :( Ben de programcılara yardımcı olmaya çalışan bir site ve foruma sahibim. Bazıları gerçekten çok tembel/beleşçi oluyor. Henüz birşey bulamadım. Version 4 Beta 4, version 3.4 üzerine inşa edilecek diye biliyorum. eğer görücüye çıkmaya hazırsa sitemde test edebilirim. Version 4 benim için biraz daha uygun aslında çünki Türk olmayan bazı üyelerimiz de var. Onlar İngilizce kullanabilirler forumu. Ayrıca Türkçeleştirme konusunda sana yardım edebilirim.

Mariah arkadaşımızı deneyin bir, galiba o büyük kısmını halletmişti. v4b04 hazır olunca görücüye çıkacak. Şu anda v3.4.04'ü bekliyor, bir de kalan bir iki konuyu. Fakat v4b04 canlı ortamlarda kullanılabilir olmayacak. Hızlı bir test dönemi yaşayıp RC1'e dönüşecek (umarım  ).
Türkçe sorun değil, çalışma sırasında çeviriyi yapıyorum zaten... b04 çıkınca düzeltmeler için katkılarınızı beklerim. Sorun diğer diller, özellikle arapça ve ibranice (iki yönlü yazı sorunları).
