don't need a mod for this. You can lock the forum and give moderatorship to those people you wish to be able to post there. I do this at my forum for an announcements section.
Yes..but I want everyone to beable to reply to every topic. But I only want moderators to have the ability to post a new topic.
That's built in to Snitz already, you can make the forum so that 'Original Posts Only Moderated', this will mean that replies are not moderated, i've got this set up for forum announcements.
Ya..this option is 90% of what I need. It looks like it will do the job.
I was hoping to not even have the option for regular users to post new topics. This still allows them to post..but they just won't appear until a moderator approves them...not so bad I guess.
I would build this feature myself but I'm so busy with the other features of my website. Its a music community with a radio station..all developed with ASP.NET and VB.NET check it out if you are a rock/metal fan www.fightforrock.com. Not everything on the site is working yet..still setting up the email server and a few other things. My next step is to tie in my site registration with Snitz so peopel don;t have to register twice (once for my site and once for the forums)
PS...some of us should get together and port Snitz to ASP.NET.....its good stuff!
