Both would be cool...maybe with the option to turn it on or off in each, or turn it off (like signatures), so you can choose if you want to see members backgrounds etc!

| Would there be a way to make it work with the DB, where you can make two images, one for first cell and then one for the second and so on..? A asmin side to so you can edit what images are used, like the Header BG mod has? |

I would not use it in this way as i feel users could use any image they like (right?) and this might look silly.
It would be nice to have it so that the admin can turn it on for users to place any image they pick (from profile (inc_profile.asp?)) or have it so that he can pick a image from a admin page.
The admin could pick images for:
First Cell
First Alternating Cell
Second Alternating Cell
anyway... still just thinking up idea's

In theory, you could copy the Avatar MOD word for word, but change the references to the avatar field in the database, to a field called POSTBG (for example).
This way you would have all the functions like the admin choosing what images people can use, and save images to be used by certain members only. Then you could always change the MOD which allows people to link to their own avatar, to be able to allow people to choose their own bg image.
Just think of the avatar mod, but your not choosing an avatar, you're choosing your post background |

Ok, i have been thinking about this all morning and have made some screen shots of what could be done:
A dropdown box in post.asp when making a new topic to pick what image you would like to use:

Then it would be shown in the first post:

Then a admin side where the admin can add new images to the DB (like a avatar is added)
A way to keep some images for use by admins/mods/listed users would be cool. |
