I'm trying to install the Flash Chat, but i'm having problems with the "virtual directory" thing. Another guy had a similar problem around here, but my problem is: i don't even know what a virtual directory is :-( I'm using brinkster, do they allow the creation of a virtual directory?
Thanks in advance. |

Rob, that question's already been asked and explained in detail on my forum. You can get more information here:

Thanks for your attention, Carefree, i've found the topic you mentioned... but i still don't get it...
The fact is i dont even know what a virtual directory is... correct me if i'm wrong, a virtual directory is installed in your computer, and not on your host, right?
Does that mean that the flashchat will only work when my computer is turned on? |

Thanks... but i'm kind of sad...
Is there any other chat service i can use on my forum that requires a person to be logged in? I had a chat on my website (www.gazetadealgol.cjb.net), but some guys were using other people's name...
It would be great if both the chat and the forum used the same login... so that a guy should be logged on the forum in order to acces the chat...
Is there any forum available with this feature?
And forgive me for asking so many questions, ok? Thanks for your help. |

You can try Snittzy Chat, also available at SnitzBitz. It's purely asp, so should work fine with Brinkster. |
