Hi, i'm new around new, im Orakio Rob from Brazil, nice to meet you all.
I'm trying to install the PM mod on my forum, but there is a problem: In the read me file there are instructions such as "add this code above line 128". But i have already installed other mods, and my line 128 is now, probably, line number 140 or something like this...
Isn't there a read me file that goes along the lines of the read me found on the avatar mod, showing us the code that need to be replaced, and not only the line number?
Thanks... |

Which version of the PMs are you trying to install? If I look into my readme file, it has the code snippets in it. |

Mine is version 3.4. I've uploaded the readme file, if you want to take a look you can find it at http://sites.uol.com.br/rob2klufft/temp/readme.html
I don't know if i was clear enough... my problem is:
In the avatar mod, the read me file says: "Exchange this code: xyz, about line 120, for this one: abc" --- very good! Even if my line 120 is different, i can find the right place to add the code just by locating the "xyz" code!
But the private mod says: "add this code: xyz in line 120" --- oops! I've added many lines of other mods here. My line 120 is certainly different from the authors line 120... |

Try using a file comparison tool, compare your original files to the files that need to be changed for Private Messages.
I'm assuming that the Zip file for this Mod included the modified files. |

Well you could click on search on the top of this page and search for file comparison tool, this should bring up a few results.
I use "Beyond Compare", more info available Here. |

As far as I can make out, except for the initial declarations(it'd hardly matter as long as the declarations are more or less together)... the instructions towards the latter part are fairly clear |
