Any ideas please
I have the same problem and i choose de DB authentification and i have create one account : login:anonimous pwd :anonimous wich is use to connect to the forum.
Have your users add your forum's Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) to their Local Sites in IE Tools... Internet Options... Security... Local... Sites they won't get challenged again. Works over VPN as well.
Does just typing the server name challenge you as well? If you are set up in DNS you should be able to just type http://myserver/ and get there without a challenge.
