Ok, Well My Dad is finally letting me get cable internet, so I can justify the need for a network.
So, the way we have it setup is that, I have my computer in the basement (desktop PC), and my Dad has his laptop in the room over the garage. We could run a wired network between the two computers, but that would be too much work. So I will go with a wireless network.
I know very little about routers, and don't understand this....
My desktop has an Ethernet card in it already (Wired type), so I'd like to use that, and save on a wireless network card. Is it possible to connect a (Ethernet based) modem, one wireless network card, and one wired network card, to a router? Can you recommend one?
(Sorry if I didn't explain well) |

Perfect, thanks everyone for the help.
Linksys BFEW11S4 was my first choice, I was just a bit fuzzy on if I could connect my desktop, clear now, thanks. |
