I feel a bit awkward, because this is probably not in the client's best interest, but it is what he demands so "here goes".

This guy, and indeed another client, insist that the old WWWboard format is easier to use, more user-friendly, blah blah blah - and insists we install a board with such a format in their sites.

Here is the example they both point to:
http://www.danblanton.com/bulletin.html

Can anyone be kind, if possible, and direct me to a solution that supports a mySQL or MS SQL database please?

Thanks,
Greg

http://www.aspwebsoft.com/ offers a board that is kinda a cross between snitz like boards and the WWWboard style.

Personally I find snitz style much easier to use than that other style . . . .

Believe me, I can install Snitz in minutes and have tried desperately to lead him in this direction. Neither of these guys will hear me - they have blinders on man...

I'm looking over here at http://www.aspwebsoft.com/discuss/ but the only resemblance between that and wwwboard appears to be the format when one drills down to a message.

I looked at http://www.freezingcold.com/aspboard.asp, but that only seems to support Access. I may have to edit the code to support SQL, but still hoping to find something that is precisely like the WWWboard but supports a strong database.

Really bites, because as I say, I know Snitz well and think highly of it. Just wish the client wasn't being a booger...

I dont think that kind of board is going to scale far enough to worry about SQL (as opposed to JET)

I'm not saying the software cant handle it, but users will just get frustrated with it.
