How many version 1.3 avatar mods are there for Snitz? I installed an avatar Mod version 1.3 awhile back, but do not have the features described on Snitzbitz ... the mod by Hamlin.
I will have to check the zip file on my server, but tha author was not Hamlin ... Craig somebody (sorry, Craig, can't remember last name).
I have some questions about this mod, but the questions I have seen on this forum all address the Hamlin version.
Thanks for any enlightenment ...

As far as I know there are 3 or 4 conversions of the Avatar mod floating around somehwere.

Craig Bovis is the name ... I checked my server.
I can't even remember where I got it ...
If I turn off the avatar display feature, people cannot register.
Also, as admin, I cannot modify users profiles concerning avatar specs. His readme says this was fixed in version 1.3.
No biggies, I can work around, I was just confused when I could not find the features you offer (mass add, etc) then realized I had a different Mod version 1.3. Seems odd there would be two avatar mods with the same version number ...
Thanks for responding, but not your mod therefore not your problem.
Thanks again ...

Do you get any error messages?

I can still lend a hand

I suppose they count as different mods even though they do the same thing. |

When I turn of the avatar feature from the admin section, new users get an error message relating to the Access 2000 database ... like the new data does not match the fields of the database. Don't have the exact message.
No big deal however, I will leave the avatars enabled. Most users do not know what an avatar is, so I thought just turning off the feature would be easier than reinstalling Snitz.
I would like to be able to edit the profiles so I can assigne an avatar for them, but it won't take the avatar url or size. No error message, just ignores the new info. In the readme, it says version 1.3 addresses the admin editing profiles issue, but not for me ...
I would just start over with your mod, but I wonder how the existing database would be effected. Also, I really don't want to type all that info in again manually ... its not worth the trouble.
I would like the user to be able to pick an avatar, I assume your mod does this ... that would be cool ...
Anyway, thanks for your attention here ...
BTW, I just got off a conference call with good 'ole England, setting up a service company for our equipment over there. Only been there once, but would love to come back. I can even drive on the other side of the road OK ... most of the time ...
Thanks again,
John
