He notified on his sitenews that the site would be down for a few hours to 24 hours. He is also moving the web host I think this weekend and changing the web name to http://www.shnforum.com/

Well its 130AM in Las Vegas where his server is located and the site is up right now. Here is is sitenews note:

EVERYONE PLEASE READ THIS

Serverhacker.com will be moving to a new home on the web, a new domain, and the good thing is it will be on a lot faster connection , this forum code is here to stay so dont worry about that, it will just be getting a new home at "http://www.shnforum.com".

I cant use my domain on the new host because the domain has "hacker" in it, also had some members not being able to get to this site, because their ISP blocked the names.

I hope to get it changed over by this weekend.

host blocking "hacker" named domains? while I understand why this would be an issue, you would think the stupid host would do some research and see that it had nothing to do with any illegal hacking. its very sad that the term "hacker" is a deragatory or negative term. I remember being very happy when someone called me a hacker for my coding abilities.

seems a bit petty to say the least. It is not the word which is a problem, just the meaning people give it. Hacker originally meant a person whose hobby was computing/computer programming it did not get its other definition until sometime later.
