Hi all,

I'm looking to change the Bad Word Filter to exclude only files that explicitly match the words in the list...i.e. assist woudl be displayed as ***ist.

Does anyone know where the code is that checks for bad words? I'll start digging, but just figured maybe someone already knew...

Thanks-

huh?

if you enter that word it will disply as you say.
if you want it not to display assist, with the asterices, then put a space before and after the word.

I don't want partial words blanked out with asterisks but adding a blank space before and after the word does not make any difference. For example, I can't post "multitude...."
Can someone help please?

Kat, I just tried using multitude and had no problem whatsoever, if you leave spaces before and after the word you want to filter out.

Not on mine. odd - the words are already there before I changed the filter. Could that be it?

Make sure you have a single ocurrence of the "forbidden" word and that it has leading and trailing spaces.

I have - the reason it didn't show in existing posts was because they had been starred out and saved. It is ok now. Thanks.
