Some how I messed up the posts. They are not showing up in the forum. Everything else appears fine. What can I do to get the posts to show back up? Let me know if you need anymore information about my problem.

The link is www.CalvaryKannapolis.com/Board
Since you have to log in to see the board, I have set up a temporary screen name (temp) with password (snitz).
The error occured after I added the 3_Mod_Files (Active Users vs. 4.0.17, Private Messages version 3.4, SmileManager Plus). I then decided to remove the SmileManager Plus. I probably shouldn't have done this, but I copied the original post.asp back into the forum folder which wrote over the current post.asp. That could be why.

I have never created a link using notepad, so I copied into a word document. Hope you are able to open it. I think it is exactly the same as the original topic.asp. ~ Tod

That word doc is password protected.

You probably already tried this, but I think if you just click on cancel, I think it will open. If not, I guess I will just have to post the topic.asp here in a post. ~ Tod |

The file can be opened ok. Next time open the file in Notepad, save it as topic.txt, upload it to your site and post the URL. It's as simples as that and any browser can open it, without the need to have Word installed.
Posting the full topic.asp in a message is highly disadvised. |

hi~ LightWeb,
i can't see anything wrong with your topic.asp file... really a unusual problem.. the posts message also disappear in Preview, and Topic Review on post.asp page, only when "quote-reply", i can see it shown. really strange....
maybe also post a .txt link to your post.asp file will be better...

I am not at home at this time, but will provide a link to post.asp tonight.
The only changes I made was deleteing the code that was for SmileManager, or what I thought was. This is where I probably made the mistake of deleting something accidently.
Thanks for everyones help! |

I do have a few other MODs installed, but I can reinstall them if I have to. Are posts saved in the database, will I lose them if I delete everything except the database? I was just trying to save the posts that have been made. ~ Tod |

Well, then that is what I will do, just replace those files. Thanks for your help. I will make another post when everything is back to normal. ~ Tod |
