Please let us know what you think when you have a look. They seem to imply it's still in a very early phase in the development, and I'd rather not install code in that situation .

It would be a nice trick if you could schedule jobs and set up and run DTS packages. I do wonder why bother if EM is free?

To use EM requires that the SQL server has licences for remote access by clients, using asp/aspx it is possible to give users remote access without actually requiring the client access licences because the db access can be done locally.

plus EM isn't actually free, it is part of the whole SQL package and is not available seperately.
