Threads with deleted posts become confusing. May be this makes a case to prevent the deletion of the post, which is not at the end of thread. |

It's not just deletion of the posts, but also modification of the topic subject and the first post. Maybe it'd be a good idea to think about adding a time limit until members can't edit posts anymore? |

Like what infopop did? A user can not edit a post after 30 mins. |

Well if you limit the editing of post after 30 Minutes I hope you make that an option the admin can turn on or off. I understand the reasoning for it but on my forum we have post that gets updated with new information over a couple of weeks. So this would be a bad think for me. |

I did Mod Post Management to control the editing and deletion of posts. Look here. The time part can be added easily. |

Hmm, someone mentioned the time limit before. Not sure, if it ever has been realised. Will look for it. |

Hey all, I felt I at least owed some of you an explaination. I offer my appologies to those who contributed to the threads that I affected. First off, those threads were started by me and without the object of what was being disscussed they are of no use anyway other than to help people who do have the object. My help here is no longer offered, so I feel this is not an issue. Sometimes in life people work together on a project and the funds runout or it fails etc... yes, those who contributed loose. Thats just a risk one takes when they decide to contribute. I have done nothing more than use the authority that was given to me with regards to my posts. If you don't like it, then change it. I have as much right to create as I do to destroy. It was my decision to destroy what I had made. This support forum has some of the best people you will ever meet, as well and as many of the worst. There are those who are willing to help, those who need help and those that lurk in the background. Lets not forget the trolls who come to destroy and believe it or not, many trolls are all the above as well. What I've seen in this Mod Forum are people who wish to create and contribute overcome by a great spirit of ungreatfullness. It takes balls to create and share it here, which brings to mind a saying "Its not the gift but the thought that counts". All contributions should be recognized no matter how great or how small, whether they are good or bad whether you like them or not, they are contributions. Help each other, build each other up instead of bringing each other down. For the most part these forums do that, but I feel my time and effort was a waste here. I did what I felt I had to do at the time and burned my bridge. I can live with my decission. If you want to delete the threads its ok by me. I don't plan to be a part of this community anymore and those who posted my site on the hacking boards are just one more reason why. It's been fun but my efforts are better suited elsewhere. |

havvoc,
First, I'd like to tell you how I felt when I read your posts, even though I didn't respond (I think, anyway). As a webmaster, I have to watch out for hackers every day, every day, every hour. When people come to my forum with names like "devilhacker," "evil_hack," or whatever, I get a bit nervous. As you must know, any system is vulnerable, and our job is to try to fend off the attackers. If you join Snitz with a name like "havvoc" and then you start posting about how to obviate password encryption, then you are going to make people nervous. We are not passing judgment, we are just being careful.
Yes, I remember when you made your original post. And yes, you truly seemed to have the best of intentions, at least gauging from your posts and responses.
The bottom line is that we'd love to have you here, but please remember that we're all in the same boat--we want to offer a great product, but one that is safe. I'm sure you'll agree, right? |

havvoc,
There were two people deeply in love, once upon a time. Time elapsed, circumstances changed and differences developed and they parted to go different ways. Between them they had priceless memories, periods of togetherness, the exchanged gifts and lots of other things. They stayed there for ever. They were remembered always as two loving persons. |
