Hi,
I have ahd a problem with my forums. I have changed the folder while I was doing work on them and when I renamed it back to its origional name the site intergration on the right side is pushed underneath the rest of the forum.
When I change the name back to the original it works fine... I have asked around but ppl seem to think that its rather strange.
Thanks for your help!
Regards, Josh |

I'm told that its something to do with a session... But the person said that someone on here will be able to explain it better. |

Yeah, I've had the same problem but never a good explanation. If I understand you correctly you have Snitz installed in '/forum', you take a copy to '/test' (or whatever), we you have implemented your new changes you trash '/forum' and rename '/test' to '/forum' but it doesn't work the same even after you have switched all the directory chnages in the code as well.
I think it's caused by one of the memory things on the server - session, application, something, but I've never had the time to get to the bottom of it. |

It's because the application variables, session variables and cookie variables all use the forum URL when establishing the values. Running setup.asp will re-establish those values. |
