Hi, I want to make some coding to get the V4B04 up and running. Is there a list on what to do so I'm not doing what someone else is doing? Is there a "todo list" or do I ned to be a "dev member"? If so, then I am interested in becoming one. If you wnat more info, email me on pelle@stib.com< |

Development is restricted to Dev Team Members. Bozden is the Dev Team member in charge of v40B4, which I know is in Alpha state. I don't know what are the criteria for selectin Dev Team members, but wanting to be part of it is probably not enough. Even to become a moderator you usually need to show a record of helping people at these forums. Usually it's not something you get after you first week here...< |

Wanting is not enough, that is true. I indeed think I can give a lot of programming even though I am new to this forum, I have worked with ASP/SQL in more than 4 years. So I think I am qualified to become a member in Dev Team. (But i guess everyone have that thoughts of itself :-) )
Thanks for your quick respond. (I'm impressed in your number of posts...)< |

Pelle,
I did answer but who gets to decide who is invited to what around here are the Admins (probably Richard and Huw are the ones who make those calls now). I was just giving you some info publicily available here on those matters.
We have a very interesting community here at Snitz, with people with very good skills in a lot of areas (ASP, SQL, Access, SQL Server, MySQL, Javascript, graphics, you name it and someone will show up with a very good experience on the area).
I'm sure that you have a good experience programming ASP/SQL and it's just great that you want to spend some of your free time to help Snitz move forward. I thank you for that, but it remains an Admin's decision to accept your offer .< |

i don't doubt the skill for one moment. I'm just a little surprised why the b4 takes so long time. After reading a lot of replays here it seams that no new version have been released on over one year. I'm new on this forum, I don't have all facts, so please forgive me if I'm wrong.
And of course it is up to Admin to decide which member to use < |

Yes you do. Have a look at this topic: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=25195
Here you will find the link to the download for v.4.0Beta3 and a link to an AllPatches zip file containing all the fixes. You should also visit the Announcements: Security Related Bug Fixes forum and install the setup_login.asp fix. It's very important that you apply this one. I'm not sure that all the other relevant fixes are included in the AllPatches file, but that topic I just posted should have info on that. Bozden should also be able to help with this, since he is the person who posts the AllPatches files. Anyway you can also check if the admin_login fix and the accompanying October fixes are already applied and if they are not, apply them.
Hope this helps.< |

There are two links in the topic I posted, but I couldn't get the file either. On the first link I get a network error and on the second link I get a object not found error. Hope Bozden hops in a gives a hand.< |
