hi all, i couldn't find any mod / info about a maximum size of a avatar. Does anyone know about a mod or modification about this ?

maybe it's allready beeing discussed (has been ?) but i couldn't find anything about it..

it's because some lamer had spammed my forum with a 90 MB .exe file renamed to .jpg and set it to be a avatar...

because i don't want to host / allow all users avatars manually, i want to set a limit of size..

now they can point their avatar to a url. (wich i disabled right now)

can anybody help ?

since the avatars are hosted off site, there's not a 'clean' way of doing this. I've done it using a DHTML script, but then I decided to control avatars by only allowing them to be uploaded to my server where I can then have total control over size limits and viewing sizes.
