i sent you an email back, but i don't seem to be having the same problem as you. Perhaps it is your browser? can you delete your cookies and try it again? |

If you are using IE6, check your privacy settings to be sure that cookies aren't being blocked. I have mine set to "accept all cookies". |

Rihard, I've been having all sorts of probs. I've even get logged out on this board as soon as I move to another page. I've just set my browser to accept all cookies and hence it has allowed me to post this.............however I've just visited my snitz board and even though i'm logged in when I log into the admin it still seems to log me out after a few seconds? Baffling! |

rob,
do you use a global.asa file in conjunction with your website? If so, can you check if the following is in there, and if so, what is the # it is set to.
Session.Timeout = 20
This value could also be set on the server itself. It's possible that your host has it set for about 1 minute.

Well Richard, what I can determine is:
1)I've transfered the all the files today intact and uploaded it to another host. It worked perfectly well before, now it doesn't.
2) I tested it on 11S on my own PC and it worked fine.
3) I Initially had trouble when I uploaded it to my new host because the permissions were not set to write and I was getting the standard error messages. Customer support weren't very good but in the end they did set permission for the database but not the folder it was in.
4)My gut feeling is that it is a problem this end if you had no problem in the admin area.
Thanks for looking.

I did get the same behavior in the Admin area as you did. I was logged out after about 1 minute. That is why I think it must be a setting that your host has set. They may have set sessions to timeout after 1 minute. |

I was having that same problem.
In hopes of importing users from another database, I placed the "Exit Function" on line 327 of the inc_sha256.asp file to disable encription. Created a brand new db and I have full read ability, but cant get to any configuration settings. Just login and login and login. Also, when I read the table from the database, the admin account shows no password at all... is that correct?
I found if I type the url directly (ex. www.yourdomain.com/forum/admin_home.asp) it lets me in to configure settings. Hope that helps.
Look for my future posts... cuz I need alot of help (especially professional help ). |

Did you by chance disable encryption? Cuz that was my problem. I didnt disable it correctly and hence was having the same problem your discribing.
FYI... correct syntax
Public Function SHA256(sMessage) SHA256 = sMessage exit function
