ASPEmail is not an email server.

Snisz do you mean an email server or an email component for sending mail via the forums

http://www.dimac.net/ has a component called JMail that's free. I don't know too much about it except that it's out there.

Jmail is the one I use too, it works really well.

on a side note, you do know that Win2K pro will only support 10 concurrent connections right?

if you use CDONTS or CDOSYS you should leave the virtual SMTP server installed
as for an actual server, I would reccomend Mailenable. It's free, good and easy to use.
Get it at http://www.mailenable.com
and as far as components, I would also reccomend JMail
BTW, if you use microsoft virtual SMTP server, change it's port if you use another mail server
