Thank you Snitz, the new forum works real well and is beginning to add a lot of website hits.
As administrator, I have a couple of questions:
Nikkol was extremely helpful in getting the forum up at www.themonk.com/forum . One of my problems is when she asked me what I wanted to use for the administrator's name I gave her one which my client's main user name. Is it possible for me to change the admin name? How would I go about it?
Second, I got this email from a user and it doesn't make sense to me anyone have any idea why he can see the forums on his atwork computer and not at home?
"I can’t view the forum from my home computer, but I can at work. They are both windows 2000 pro pc’s and at home I can see all other pages. Any ideas."

That topic is very helpful, my problem is I am so new at this that I have not been able to get the config.asp file. This website was built with FP2K and I have yet to learn how to get at the code level to make changes like this. I am trying to change create a new user name (reg2putt)for myself as SuperAdmin and leave the current The Monk (now admin) as admin. To do this I will have to have my current email addy (reg2putt@attbi.com) and change that of the monk to monkbilliardacademy@yahoo.com. Once I can get the levels changed (can't find this in Profiles), I, as SuperAdmin) can change the rest by deleated The Monk as a member and setting him up again with his correct email addy and then going in and changing reg2putt's email addy. My hang up is making the level change.

Just open the config.asp file with Notepad; if you open it with FrontPage, you'll be in a heap o' trouble later (FP makes automatic changes to code, thinking you've erred in writing it).
Remember that if you are the Super Admin, the other Admin will not be able to EVERYTHING, such as add MODS, that you, the Super Admin, can do. |

I made the reg2putt member superadmin for you. You should be good to go. Oh and I changed email addresses also. |

Nikkol, Many thanks. I notice that "Admin Options" doesn't come up for reg2putt but continues to come up for The Monk; is that normal. I would prefer it be under reg2putt and not under The Monk, but I may have misunderstood the title "Superadmin". reg |
