So, did Thunder solve the problem or not?

FYI IIS 5.1 can be bumped up to 40 connections

Unless MS changed something, the limit is hardcoded in the executable. You can set 1000 connection limit in IIS Service Manager, but it won't change the built-in 10 limit, it's compiled in the program.
