Is it possible to archive an individual topic, or just the forum it is in. I only see the archive at the forum level.

Also, what is the difference between archive and delete? Can archived items be retrieved?

you can't archive individual topics as such, only by date, but you can flag topics so they are NOT archived.

archiving just moves the topics to a new table, you can still search through them and browse them via the archive link on forum.asp

How do I indicate to Not archive a topic? I looked around and didn't see that option.

If you use the 'lock topic' icon, there is an option to not archive the topic, you should then be able to unlock the topic, but leave the 'do not archive' flag enabled

Thanks HuwR, I suspect I would not have found that.
The checkbox for do not archive is not present on unlock, but I'll take your word for it that it will work that way.
