I host a single forum for a good friend. I have no options to let him edit the policy.asp. I have cut the text part into a txt file and included this txt file where the text used to be.

Is there any easy and simple way to edit this txt file by browser ?

I tryed out the most free stuff found at hotscripts.com - but they was simply to adwanced so I coulden´t understand the code.

Thanks
Morten

There is no way to edit policy.asp by your browser. To do that, you would need a GUI between your Admin options and your policy.asp, but the standard Snitz does not have that.

You could either edit the file manually, or you could try one of the new MODs that some Snitzers have uploaded. If I recall correctly, two Snitzers have uploaded various MODs recently that will let you modify this file and/or add rules.

The easiest way that I found to do it was to make my own include page in normally formatted HTML and include it on policy.asp just above the body of the standard text. That was easy, and required no mods to the standard code...

Here's what it looks like:

Though I've since found out that blank spaces in user names are handled fine (there was a problem with them and Azaniah's photo mod in v3.3), I've left that "condition" in my additional "terms"...

If you want to risk it you can use a tool like siteman.asp to modify the asp code from your browser.
