some more info required.
How many visitors do you get each day (not unique visits, but total visits) this is what dictates your bandwidth consumption more than actuall posting. plus, do you have a lot of images, how big are they etc, but here are a couple of examples to give you some idea.

This forum gets > 10000 visitors a day, and a lot of posts, it uses around 45GB of bandwidth a month.
my test site gets around 250 visits a day and uses about 2GB
a site with NO forum getting around 2000 visitors a day (but hosts files for download) is using about 22GB a month

so, you see there is no hard and fast rules here, it entirely depends on the content of your site and how many visitors you get, and what they do while they are there

mainly because it is a bog standard snitz, no bells and whistles, plus the files are not hosted here, otherwise bandwidth would be considerably more.

I also host http://www.flashplayer.com, it has about the same number of visitors, but as most are downloading flash anims, its bandwidth usage is around 180Gb

You'll more than likely need more than 100Mb Sentinel, if you've got around 30 visitors coming to the site a couple of times a day I'd guesstimate more like 1-2Gb would meet your needs (I've personally found 1Gb is about right for an small to medium size forum), my own which runs around 15,000 hits per day uses a little over 1G and its got pleanty of graphics etc there as well - www.eq-halo.com .

If you host doesn't provide you with your bandwidth usage summary, then you can get the info from your logs (assuming your host lets you access them)

erm, Thanks for the feedback on this, It was a real eye-opener. My host gives me 3gb a month traffic so i think i will have to host it all on there. At the moment i am housting the forum on a 3rd part FREE .ASP site as my host dont do .ASP unless i upgrade my service with them. Looks like i will have to do that then :)

Thanks very much with your help on this matter.
