I was told today that my forum would not let people yes their activation key sent to them from the e-mail.

So I done a test and got this error

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'

Field 'FORUM_MEMBERS.M_USERNAME' cannot be a zero-length string.

/forum/register.asp, line 185

I made a test copy of the forum and replaced register.asp and it fixed the key problem, but caused problems in inc_func_common.asp

Any thing obvious or you need more details

Whenver you get such a message you need to open your database with Access and set the Allow Sero Length Property of the column giving you the error to Yes (in this case, FORUM_MEMBERS.M_USERNAME)

It worked......and I know nothing about DB's

It took anout 30 mins to find the correct thing to do, and to convert the DB as it was out of date, you have made my day.
