Why on earth do you want to do that?
No it wouldn't be safe because chances are you would introduce loads of bugs to the forum by removing code and likely stop it from running.
If you don't want moderation, don't turn it on.

why, if you are not using moderation they are not called anyway, and removing a few lines of code isn't going to give you a significant performance gain |

well PeeWee I agree with everyone else that you should need to do it. If you want to do it, then the way I would go about it is remove some code save a backup file, then leave it alone for awhile to see if it still works. maybe do a file a day or a section of code per a day., |

I did it fairly successfully on a 3.3 forum. It would actually be more of a pain though doing it to a 3.4 imo becuase of the change to Response.Writes. |

I stripped the forum some time ago, because I use the Snitzforum for another purpose. We have one forum that we use for posting old magazine-articles as messages. The whole Snitz structure is very handy for that. The second forum is based on the same database, and is completely stripped, because I don't want people to post messages. They only get the searchfunction, and the topicpages. Works fine. Romée See: http://www.bijen.info/forumzoek/search.asp
