Why are you developing another multi-language Snitz? v4, already under development, will be multi-lingual. Language packs for most if not all of the languages you've listed are already well underway.

v4b03.005 had all security related problems fixed. v4b04 will be based on v3.4.x (most recent version and most recent fixes added). There will be a bunch of features related to internationalization also, including support for utf-8 and far eastern languages.

What are the problems you faced which make you change the forum everytime after it is released?

For most of us that keep coming back here to see if there is a downloadable 3.4.03 international version, the answer is clear.

The current multilingual version we can download here is over 2 years old and lacks the goodies available in 3.4.03.

Some of us have opted to do a hardcoded translation, but many will be happy to be able to download and implement a multilingual version of 3.4.03.

Please correct me if there is a version of the multilingual project more recent with 3.4.03. I keep getting lost jumping from post to post trying to find out if there is a new version and how to help translating the file to Spanish and Portuguese (BR).

Ps: I just downloaded the Image file and will translate the lang file tomorrow and test it.

Cheers<

It should be clear that there is a huge difference running your forum based on a mod or an official version. Support wise and regarding upgradability for future versions, I'd say there is a difference and some risks going with a non-official version, but you're free to choose.<

and maybe if people helped Bozden with the official version rather than trying to release their own, we would have had an official release by now.<

I've already got great help from most of the language pack crew .

I'm near to release v4b04 alpha 02 to dev-team, just need to check for some stuff. This release includes necessary setup/upgrade procedures, support for utf-8 and some necessary new terminology. Version 4 will not be compatible to v3.4.x (thus not compatible to what Image provides).

Hi Image,

Is this topic the same as the one here? As it is mainly a MODded version of v3.4 and has no relation with the actual (official) v4, if you have nothing against, I want to lock the topic here.

This is not because I'm against your efforts (I know how tremendeous they can be), but this forum is for the official version and people may get mixed up. I'm afraid we can have serious support problems after v4b04 is out.

Best Regards

No problem, it can stay here and even can be a sticky topic as it can solve immediate needs of fellow Snitzers . I just lock this now.

Please refer to the other topic in http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=40765 for further discussion.
