Why don't you implement a permissions system where it limits people from posting topics to certain categories/forums??? I was able to post to the annoucements forum where normal users SHOULD NOT be able to post. The post topic screen shouldn't even come up, let alone let me post there. Wouldn't a permissions system eliminate this need to have a moderator approve of a post for a forum? You've done a great job, but... either this needs to be implemented or I'm just not seeing something here... :-S <- also, need to have that smiley too
You can lock a category/forum, moderate it, make it only viewable to members or password hidden. There are a lot of things to permit access to a forum.
I'm using the Display Content MOD 3.4 and want to have one or two authors to write news articles in a news forum. These articles should be viewed by regular members both inside the forum and on the "frontpage news" on the main web. This works fine until I lock the forum to restrict who can post in the news forum. When the forum is locked there is no "available news" on the front page (but readable inside the forum)...
How can I set up my forum to function as described..?
