Hello, just for a sake of checking character/font rendering ... since your file is in utf-8 format. I have installed. I removed * from the target language strings for test installation....Good luck on completing it. Nice job (though totally no clue here).< |

Thank you. I leave * simbol cause the translation not finished yet. It'll be removed later.
See Update: Test Forum at http://www.geohl.net/snitzTest/ All strings are with * simbol < |

Very nice. I noticed, though, that I have to "force" UTF8 encoding in IE6.x to view Georgian properly...every time I clik and move to a new forum or to a topic, it somehow set back to Windows (ISO)... and that also means that all topics are prompted to render in Windows (ISO) encoding and shows corrupted UTF8 charsets...
For *, you are correct in retaining that until you complete your translation...for my little testing of your Georgian lang I just wanted to "no show" for *. (Am going to remove this lang, as it is heavy enough right now for a small web forum to handle 13+ languages....). Good luck on your localization efforts.

Oh yeah, very nice Good work...
There are some minor issues thou. One is the window title (shows boxes regardless of font selection). Another interesting issue is with select boxes. THey show correctly in dynamic font, but show boxes in local font, although other text is correctly shown in Georgian.
I have w2k with all possible locales/fonts installed (inc Georgian)... < |

about selected boxes: for see them correctly I add this code:
INPUT, SELECT, BUTTON {font-family: <% =strDefaultFontFace %>} in style type=text/css. there is problem only with IE, other browsers work correctly without this code.
I'll correct window title (shows boxes regardless of font selection) issue later...
Thanks for your notes.< |
