There a quite a few email messages that can be automatically sent by the forums:- Confirm registration
- Post-registration welcome message
- Subscriptions / New posting messages
- Moved topic
- Changed password confirmation
- Topic link
There are probably a few others that I'm missing, but you get the general idea.
Unfortunately, it's rather painful to find and customize these messages within the ASP code. So here's my suggestion:
Consider making all email messages (and, what-the-heck, throw in the privacy message for good measure  ) database-driven. Store the basic message in a table, with variables inserted where appropriate (username, email, topic ID, etc.). Allow administrative control over the email title and the body.
That would be a nice touch, don't you think?  |
