Hello, wondering why no one of the Snitz "Guru" hasn't thought (as far as I know....) to create yet a MOD allowing to add the text of the messages in the subscription e-mails.....it'd be a great feature for all users, allowing them to connect to the forum only if interested to a post and saving very frequented forums from very busy periods. |

It had been done before (not as Mod), but it wouldn`t be so wise, cause this will add a lot of trafic to your mail server. |

Thank you, mortioli Anyway...I taken a look there...but the one MOD related to email I've found is ccHTMLMail. Were you referring to that one? It doesn't seem able to add the whole text of the posted messages in the subscription e-mails.... it says :"provides template driven HTML email output for all Snitz emails. It covers all of the emails sent by Snitz for subscription, password reminders, moderation notices, etc." In other words, it allows to send system email in html format, but not the "body" of the messages posted.....or did I misunderstood? |

I have been wanting to do the same thing as you. I believe ccHTMLMail will allow the body of the post to be emailed but this code is not for the 3.4 forums so there is a lot of differences in the code. Has anyone sucessfully installed this code in the new forums? If so can you post how to do it, I have tried but some of the plces where we have to add code has changed in the new release of the forums. |

Good news, I spoke with Cosmic Cat and he is going to update the mod for the new forum code. Thanks Cosmic Cat
Quote from Cosmic Cat in his forum. quote: I will be updating ccHTMLMail for v3.4.03 pretty soon, I was waiting until there was a stable release, and there haven't been many bugfixes on this version of Snitz for a while now, so I will take a look at it soon.
If you subscribe to the ccHTMLMail forum here, I will announce progress there.

I've been working on this over the past couple of days, and v3.4.01 (For Snitz v3.4.03) is almost ready
It should be available for downloading tonight, or at the latest on Friday. Documentation is a bit scrappy, and there are some bits of the old version left hanging around in the source code, but it seems to be working fine, so I'm looking for some willing testers to make sure that the installation files and instructions are all correct. See my site for announcements, it will go up there for testing first before I publish details in the Snitz Mod With Code forum....
