I have been running a successful and enjoyable snitz based forum community for over two years now but the forum is getting too large which in turn is increasing financial cost.

I get about 4,000 post a month which means I can only every keep the last 3 months of topics.

IF I have to move away from snitz and go to a freely hosted forum, which one would recommend? Preferably similarly to snitz as possible.

Found this link to a list of free forum.

Any suggestions?

I would do anything to stay with Snitz - maybe change your hosting plan or site location ?

Free hosts are ok for small forum but not for busy large forums.
I have yet to find a free hosting server with SQL server and more that 30mb of space and if I did I don't think it will be very reliable.

As they say you get what you pay for, but for exmaple Egroups is reliable, free and you can have up to 500mb of data but it is a list group and not a form.

thats because it costs several thousand pounds for a SQL server licence, not something you are just going to give away for nothing.
