Hi All,

thanx again for everyones patience with me...yes, not using Japanese usernames is probably best....should I perhaps have a message for users warning them of this, and where and how should I do this...?..cheers...<

Yes, a warning message is the most common way to do it. I do have a site which allows double byte user names, but I find that most of them will use single byte even if they know they have the option.
